Our New Farmers' Natural Poultry Feed is Here!

CCC Feeds is announcing the newest additions to our line up:



Farmers’ Natural is available in a Starter, a Grower, and a Layer version to cover all life stages of your laying hens. We’ve taken our famous poultry formulas and updated them.  We’ve also added Primalac and kelp to the formulas.  Primalac is a direct-fed microbial- a collection of 4 live bacteria that support a natural, healthy GI microflora by crowding out bad bacteria like E. Coli and Salmonella that try to occupy the GI tract. This action enhances the bowel’s lining and promotes the absorption of nutrients and the production of antibodies.  Additionally, it makes the bowel slightly more acidic, which is good because many bad bacteria don’t thrive in acidic environments.  Kelp is an awesome way to bring almost 100 different micronutrients to your chickens.  Containing 60 minerals and elements, 21 amino acids, and 12 vitamins, kelp is readily digested and assimilated because it simply plant tissue.  The result is increased egg production, darker yolks and skin, and stronger shells. The combination of the two make for healthier, happier, and more productive hens.

Start your chicks off with a 25lb bag of Farmers’ Natural Starter for the first 6 weeks.  Then move them to the Grower formula (25 or 50lb bags) for weeks 7 through 15.  Between 15 and 17 weeks (depending on the breed), move your pullets to our Layer ration (50lb bags).  The Layer formula is a complete formula that will provide everything your hens need to produce beautiful, wholesome eggs.

Annual Meeting

Our Annual meeting was held on January 21, 2012 at Adams Mill in Manchester, CT.  Special Guests included Congressman Joe Courtney, Senator Steve Cassano, and Steven Reviczky, Commissioner of Connecticut's Department Of Agriculture. All of them honored Don Domina for his years of service to the CoOp and to agriculture in New England.

CCC Farm Stand and Market

CCC Feeds and Farm Supplies is owned by Central Connecticut Cooperative Farmers Association which has manufactured animal feeds since 1938. As a farmer owned cooperative the Central CT Co-op has its roots deep in the agricultural community and is always looking for additional ways to support local agriculture. In early 2009 we opened CCC Feeds and Farm Supplies which provides an ideal high traffic location for a farm stand and market.
